Hunter Hewitt is 23 years old and a graduate of San Diego State University.
While playing football for the Aztecs, Hunter studied journalism with hopes of someday becoming a sports journalist. He earned a degree in journalism with a minor in communication in December of 2012. He is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists (San Diego State chapter) and a recipient of the Arthur C. and Mildred Wimer Scholarship.
Aside from working part-time in retail throughout his educational years, Hunter has worked with The Daily Aztec, East County Magazine, GoAztecs.com and Lamorinda Weekly. He also created his own blog, titled AztecsForLife.com, where he wrote about the San Diego State football program during his final season on the team.
Hunter is interested in sports writing, reporting, broadcasting, multimedia video editing and other forms of online journalism.
